Oriental Departure

Tomorrow we depart for Beaufort NC about 20 miles away.   Weather is expected to be fair.  Most of the transit will be through the Adams Creek Canal.  Elena stocked up on food today, the water tanks have been topped off, the fuel tank has been topped off and our offshore equipment has been deployed and checked, including jacklines (safety lines one clips too), lifejackets, and manoverboard tools.  We expect to be underway by 0800 and arrive in Beaufort in early afternoon.  We said our goodbyes to Vicky and Butch and thanked them for the use of their car.

Elena is tense about the election and will be listening to satellite radio all day. tomorrow.
